Position Description
JustWorld is seeking an Equestrian Programs Coordinator to oversee the global JustWorld Ambassador Program, implement the Youth Leadership Development Program, liaise with JustWorld projects, and help coordinate key activities, special events, and partner initiatives. The Equestrian Programs Coordinator works closely with the JustWorld core staff and management on program planning, partner relationships, and stakeholder stewardship. The JustWorld Equestrian Programs Coordinator is a highly motivated self-starter, who is organized, with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Position Responsibilities
Assistance with JustWorld programs, including but not limited to:
- Coordinate the Global Ambassador Program, including responsibility for its growth and development and overseeing the end-of-year ambassador campaign
- Plan and lead the annual Youth Leadership Development Program
- Facilitate the relationship with equestrian partners, event managers, and brand sponsors
- Work closely with JustWorld management in liaising with field project partners
- Contribute to designing, executing, and coordinating special events ranging in size from 20 to 750+ attendees, taking responsibility for specific aspects as needed
- Support the success of individual and group ambassador initiatives to raise awareness and funds
- Coordinate closely with the Development and Marketing functions to craft campaigns and fundraisers
- Support organizational efforts to communicate through social and other media
- Manage interns and volunteers, as appropriate
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Familiarity with the equestrian community and most notably the show jumping industry
- Experience with or interest in international development and/or charitable work
- An unwavering commitment and can-do attitude
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, on the phone, virtually, in person, and in writing
- Professional and hospitable manner
- Excellent organizational and networking skills
- Good knowledge of marketing strategies and how to promote a positive brand image
- Ability to multi-task with time-management skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability and flexibility to travel
- Flexibility with regard to a traditional work schedule, due to equestrian nature of the role
Ideally, the candidate will also have:
- Experience coordinating events or training sessions
- Proficiency in French and/or Spanish
Proficiencies
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote)
- Google Workspace
- Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and writing in a variety of styles (creative, professional, technical, etc.)
- Working knowledge of NetworkforGood, CRM, or similar database systems helpful
This position is based in Wellington, FL, and requires domestic and international travel.
