JustWorld Storms Through Europe

Despite the recent rains and winds that have hounded the Northern latitudes in Europe, it has been nothing but a wonderful outdoor season for JustWorld International on the Old Continent.

St Gallen

Following the debut show of the season in May, at the beautiful CSIO 5* of La Baule, JustWorld International traveled on to St Gallen where it was the show’s official charity partner and fortunate to participate in a very special celebration. That weekend, Longines celebrated its 15th year of partnership with the St Gallen show and in the spirit of celebration increased its support by hosting the ‘Clear the Jump’ initiative during the Nation’s Cup. This outstanding initiative incorporated the provision of meals for each Longines and FEI obstacle cleared, which ultimately resulted in 15,000 meals being donated for children around the world. These meals often serve as the only nutritious meals the children will receive on a given day. As we all know, hungry children cannot learn and therefore these meals are paramount to their livelihoods as well as their general health.

Paris

From St Gallen, JustWorld sojourned to Paris, where they were graciously welcomed for the third consecutive year at the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping. This time around, the prestigious Parisian event was held at the stunning historic park of Plaine de Jeux de Bagatelle, in the Bois de Boulogne, on the banks of the River Seine. It was yet another lovely setting for the Longines “Clear the Jump,” which allotted an additional 5,000 meals to be distributed amongst the children at the JustWorld projects.

Deauville

It was at the penultimate show, mere weeks before the upcoming JustWorld week in Deauville, where JustWorld ventured for the first time ever to Scandinavia for the Falsterbo International Horse Show. Taking part in this show was an amazing way for the organization to be introduced to the Swedish equestrian community. Swedish super star Alexander Zetterman, who recently visited JustWorld's partner Los Patojos in Guatemala, represented JustWorld and all that they strive to do for the children they represent.13606966_1033186800092069_179452903215564659_nA JustWorld video was shown throughout the weekend and two autograph sessions were held with Alex to raise awareness for JustWorld. On Sunday, the speaker educated the public enthusiastically about JustWorld's mission, projects, and the Clear the Jump initiative hosted by Longines during the Grand Prix which allowed for another 5,000 meals to be distributed.

JustWorld Gala in Deauville: August 5, 2016

We are very thrilled about our second European Gala coming up in Deauville, France, which will mark the end of an entire week of activities dedicated to JustWorld. Kicking off on the 5th of August, one can find themselves anywhere from a day at the races to an opening match of the polo season in Deauville or a cocktail evening at the Brok. It is our goal, following the success of our first Gala, to raise even more funds this year so we can continue supporting each of the 6,500 children at our projects who depend on us.Please visit www.justworldeurope.org to reserve your Gala tickets.

A massive thank you to everyone who has made our outdoor season such a phenomenal success. We cannot wait to see you all at JustWorld Week!
